A lot of things are happening at this time of the year. Here is an update of what is newly available in the shop. Some colorways are brand-new, others are old favorites making a re-appearance.
All yarns are 100% cotton and very soft; the yarns are fingering weight, some are also available as sport weight skeins. They all change colors gradually to create a unique effect.
Here is my newest project fresh off the needles: Adelei Shawl
Pattern: Adelei Shawl by Wendy Neal Yarn: one 100 gr skein (480 yards)of Color Changing Cotton in colorway KHAKI - available here Needles: US #3 or 3.25 mm
The pattern is well written and easy to follow (Wendy provides both charts and written line-by-line instructions); I enjoyed the combination of stockinette and lace edging. The result is a cute little shawl or shawlette. :)
The Fans of Wolle's Yarn Creations-Group on Ravelry recently completed a Mystery KAL - and the final result looks like this:
The designer is Christiane Burkhard; the pattern is now available on her website: lismiknits.blogspot.com. She has also much nicer pictures of the shawl...
The shawl is knitted sideways in a drop stitch pattern and requires 2 x 100 gr skeins of Color Changing Cotton, which is available in my shop, wollesyarncreations.etsy.com. I used colorway APPLES I + II.
Here are a bunch of new colors now available in the shop (I know I am lagging behind here... but at least I am current with knitting swatches...LOL) Here we go:
All colors are fingering weight cotton yarns available either at 50 gr and/or 100 gr skeins. The skeins change colors gradually creating a unique effect.
I finished my Jeansy Green Summer Top. It is a straight forward, easy knit: from the top down, all in one piece, without any seams.
Yarn: Two skeins of Wolle's Yarn Creations' 6-ply yarn Colorway: Jeansy Green Store: Wollesyarncreations.etsy.com Pattern: "Easy Does It" by Doreen L Marquart (published in: Top Down Sweaters) Needles: 4mm or US #6 Size: medium (bust size 40)
The yarns are 100% cotton and have a yardage of 480 per 100 gr skein; they change colors gradually. One skein is usually enough for a midsize shawl or shawlette. Recommended needle size: US 2-4
Pattern: Tuscany by Amy R. Singer (published in the book: No Sheep for You) Yarn:Wolle's Yarn Creations' 4-ply cotton; 1 skein in BLUE BASIL Needles: 3.25 mm Measurements: 63 inches along the straight edge, 18 inches down the middle
The pattern looks much more complicated than it is - the lace repeat is straight forward and easy to memorize. I really like the shape of this shawl: it is really wide and fairly "flat" making it perfect for wrapping around the neck.
Lilacs are blooming, so here are LILAC BLOSSOMS I and II.
My LILAC BLOSSOMS aren't as fragnant as the real ones, but they last longer... :) More info and more colors are available in my shop, Wolle's Yarn Creations
JEANSY BLUE I + II This yarn was already available as a 6ply; now the 4ply cousin is up for grabs, too. A 6ply skein has 320 yds/100 gr, a 4ply skein 480 yds/100gr.
SILVER NAVY I + II This is the new 6ply or sport weight version of this nice colorway. SILVER NAVY was already available as a 50 gr skein in the 4ply or light fingering weight.
Originally, this is a pattern for a baby blanket/coverlet knit in 15 short-row sections. I knit only the first 10 sections to wear it as an over-the shoulder-draping shawl.
Stats: Yarn: Color Changing Cotton 6-ply by Wolle's Yarn Creations Colorway: PINKY PURPLE - 2.5 skeins Needles: 4mm Pattern: Curlicue Coverlet by Oatcouture
Introducing my newest colorway - STRAWBERRY HERSHEY:
In person the yarn looks really yummy, hence the name. It looks like chocolate covered strawberries... It is available as 4-ply and 6-ply skeins in my shop, Wolle's Yarn Creations.
