Honeybees in the air and on the needle

The recent warm and balmy days brought out the first bees of the season. Seeing these cute critters inspired my newest color ways: HONEYBEE I and II:

HONEYBEE I and II are 4-ply cotton yarns that gradually change colors; the yarns are light fingering weight with appr. 480 yds/100 gr. More info is available in my shop, Wollesyarncreations.etsy.com

Wool-Aid Socks

I finally managed to make some socks for my favorite charity's Warm Hands campaign.

Both pairs are made of Lamb's Pride Bulky leftovers, approximately 1.5 skeins per pair. They turned out pretty big and should keep some teenagers warm.

Warm Woolies Lands' End Campaign

I recently finished two projects for the Warm Woolies Lands' End campaign. The yarn was donated by Lands' End to Warm Woolies volunteers; the finished projects will be distributed around Christmas time to tribal reservations. More info about this campaign can be found here.

From the Heart Baby Blanket. This blanket was designed by Lismi. (Please check her website for all of her wonderful designs.)

The blanket is about 44 x 46 inches and weighs almost 3 lbs. It is not your typical baby blanket, but it surely will keep a child warm and toasty this winter.

Steppe Ahead Vest. This vest was supposed to be a sweater, but I ran out of yarn for the sleeves. The pattern is one of my favorites and was written by Irina Makarow
