Daybreak Shawl

I recently finished my first Daybreak Shawl (pattern by Stephen West). I really like this pattern, so this will not be my last. :)

1 x 50 gr skein of Wolle's Yarn Creations' cotton in SPRING LIME
1 x 50 gr of Single Color Cotton in NAVY

Knitting While Driving

Recently we (that is hubby and I) traveled to Pennsylvania for a fiber festival. We stopped at the Welcome Center and were greeted by this sign:

002 PA sign

Cute, isn't it? I liked it.
While driving and smiling (that is, I knitted and hubby drove), I worked on this vest for Wool-Aid:
043 Keep me Warm vest

This vest is for Wool-Aid's current Tibet campaign. More info about the campaign and all the wonderful Wool-Aid knitters is available on the website: wool-aid.org. Wool-Aid also has a wonderful group on Ravelry - check us out and join us!

The need in Tibet after the earthquake in April 2010 is overwhelming. Many of the children have summer clothes at best with the very cold winter approaching fast. I am very proud to be able to contribute to this cause even if it is only one vest at a time.

For this vest I used Brown Sheep's Worsted Superwash Wool doubled up with Knitpick's Palette wool (three skeins of each). On US #10 needles it was a quick knit. The vest almost fits me, so it will be perfect for a Tibetan teenager. :)

Ocean Serenade Shawl

The Fans of Wolle's Yarn Creations-Group on Ravelry recently completed a Mystery KAL - and the final result looks like this:

053 Ocean Serenade Shawl057 Ocean Serenade Shawl053 Ocean Serenade Shawl007 APPLES I + II

The designer is Christiane Burkhard; the pattern is now available on her website: lismiknits.blogspot.com. She has also much nicer pictures of the shawl...

The shawl is knitted sideways in a drop stitch pattern and requires 2 x 100 gr skeins of Color Changing Cotton, which is available in my shop, wollesyarncreations.etsy.com. I used colorway APPLES I + II.

Xeriscape out of FOREST

Recently I finished this cute little scarf called Xeriscape (pattern by Mary-Heather Cogar available on Ravelry or her website rainydaygoods.com):

The scarf is knitted sideways and required only one 50 gr skein of FOREST; the yarn can be found in my shop - wollesyarncreations.etsy.com
